OK, so I setup this blog, right. Now I need to come up with something deep and meaningful like the other 43 gajillion bloggers out there. This blog space is a great starting point for some of the stuff I already have on the web. It will also be a good impetus to create new work. There are the old items, like my popular ascii special character table. Yes, it is a big hit with the kids and their "special languages", lmsiao. I created the table as a reference for a web interface design class.
[ ☮ ] peace sign [ number: ☮]
So let’s say you need to embed a peace symbol into your web page and you don’t want to drop in a picture. In the HTML just write "☮", minus the quotes of course. Most of you probably knew that already.
Ok, maybe you’re not into that sort of thing. You read the web pages, you don’t need to know how they are made. I can understand that point.
How about small furry animals?
You can check out where my daughters Madison and Alexa and myself have been hanging out all summer. Well, to be honest, I used bullying tactics to pressure them into work at a local animal shelter. Made them pet kitties and puppies who at the same time attempt to escape by crawling up their faces and lick them nearly into a frenzy of, um, frenzyness. Strayhaven Animal Shelter in Greenville has been around since I was wee. The girls and I volunteer once a week to help care for the critters. Madison did a cool little slide show for their open house and I’ve updated the web pages and got them on Facebook. Please "like" them!
Maybe that’s too warm and fuzzy for you. Hmmm.
I’ll have to come up with something to entertain you people. Give me a minute and I’ll see what I can do here. Maybe something in 3D animation. There is an idea.
